Fresh New Look For Gym Thanks To Our Volunteers
A huge thanks to our fantastic volunteers who helped to get our training gym painted and ready for the new rubber flooring. All Fixtures For The Coming Week 7 - 9 May
This week is jam-packed with fixtures, with many of our teams in action mid-week at home. There are hugely important matches - for both U15 boys' teams in semi-finals of their Football Championships, and also, for our women, in Senior A & Junior E Championship matches, Our senior women face old adversaries Foxrock/Cabinteely so there's lots of pride being played for. Please note the new time of 8:15pm start at the AWP. Meanwhile, our men are back in league games - senior footballers at home on Weds while the Inter lads travel to Clanna Gael. U15s Boys Football Championship Semis -Tues 7th May
Both St Sylvesters U15 boys football teams will play the semi-final of their Championships this Tuesday evening, 7th May. The A team takes on Kilmacud and the B team face St Vincent’s. The lads are looking for huge support from the Club at Bridgefield. Go and cheer them on. Matches start at 7:30pm.

RIP Catherine McGuirk
St Sylvester's GAA offers sincere condolences to Brian McGuirk on the death of his mother Catherine formerly of Lisheenbawn, Castleisland, Co Kerry. Late of Bon Appetit Restaurant, Malahide. Sincere sympathies to her husband Patsy, her sons Martin, Brian, daughter-in-law Julie-Ann, Brian's partner Amanda, sisters Nora Mai, Mary, Eileen and Patricia, brothers Tom, Neily, Eamon and Maurice. May she rest in peace.

Book Your Event at Our Newly Refurbished Clubhouse
Many will have noticed the fresh new renovated look of our Clubhouse in recent weeks which is now complete. Gina Lillis & Karen O’Brien together with our great Facilities men Aidan Lillis & Eoin Farquhuarson have transformed it into an improved venue for parties, kids evnts, Birthdays and every event you can think of! New facilities include a baby-changing area for mums' convenience at kids parties and lots more!

Féile Peile na nÓg Next Weekend - St Sylvesters hosting

Healthy clubs hosting Darkness Into Light Breakfast
St Sylvester’s GAA is supporting the Pieta House Darkness into Light event on Saturday morning, 11th May. We are looking for volunteers to bake some breakfast foods (bread, scones, muffins etc.) or sponsor some drinks, fruits etc. please contact Barbara Condon (0877604880).

U15 Boys Through To Championship Semis
Well done to our U15s in their Championship quarter finals this morning, both getting wins and qualifying for the semis on 7th May.

Disappointment for Intermediate Men Footballers in DIFC Rd 2
It was a disappointing night for our intermediate footballers this evening at Broomfield as Na Fianna were victorious in their round 2 tie of the Intermediate Championship. Despite a strong headwind in the first half, our lads could not take advantage and Na Fianna pulled ahead with a 3 point lead at half time. Na Fianna got a great start in the second half and pushed on for a convincing win at the full time whistle. Final score 0-5 to 1-13.

Senior Footballers Lose to Ballymun in Round 2 of Championships
Hard luck to our senior men last night, After a slow start the lads rallied and made it more competitive but it was not to be. Fulltime score: Ballymun 4-20 v 2-10 Syls.

CCC has changed the kickoff for tonights DSFC game at Broomfield. St,. Vincents v Castleknock start is now 6.45pm this evening.

This Week's Match Fixtures
We're back to business after the Easter Break! Go and support the men's teams this week, starting with the Minors tomorrow evening. (Note change of venue to MFL1 venue). Round 2 of the Football Championships include a crucial match for our Senior men away to Ballymun Kickhams on Thurs evening. Inter & Junior teams play at the weekend. St Sylvester's also hosts the Senior Champ fixture of Castleknock v St Vincent's on Weds evening which should be a great opportunity for younger players to meet some more heroes of the game. U14s Reach SemiFinal of Dublin Feile na nGael 2019
Our U14A team competed in Division 2 hosted at Raheny while our Bs went to Thomastown for Dublin Feile na nGael 2019. The As lost their first two matches v St Vincent's and Na Fianna but beat Raheny convincingly to earn crucial points and qualify for the semi-finals v @castleknockgaa later in the afternoon at Erins Isle grounds.

Minors Rally To Win Away to St Brigids
Our Minor hurlers had a hard fought game in MHL2 today but came through winning 0-12 to 1-7 away to St Brigids. Brigids lead all the way until 10 mins of normal time to go but the lads really ground it out and survived 10 mins of injury time to prevail by 2 points in the end. .

SYLS MEN RELISH THE CHALLENGE OF SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
2019 has been a year of change so far for our Senior Men. League relegation, while disappointing, has provided the opportunity to review structure, style & attitude under a new management team led by coaching and sports science specialist Paul Clarke, together with Keith Galvin & Seamas Hynes.

Double Win for Syls Ladies Teams at Broomfield
Congratulations to our ladies teams on two great wins this evening at Broomfield. First up, or Junior ladies scored an impressive win v Trinity Gaels in Division 6 outplayed their opposition from the starting whistle. Immediately after, our senior women threw in for their first game of the league season at home on the All-Weather. FT: Syls 6-08 v 1-10 Na Fianna. Well done to both teams on fine performances!

Congratulations to our u10 girls who are selected with 62 clubs, representing 31 counties, to play at Croke Park in the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s Activity Day next Monday, April 15!
