A winning night........the Pride of Malahide.......St. Sylvester’s Gaa Club celebrated in style at the Grand Hotel on Saturday night November 21st. Our First Awards night sponsored by The Bank of Ireland. What a night it was ! Our guests of the night were Christy Cooney, President of the GAA, Gerry Harrington from the County Board, Sinead Aheane shone as our ALLSTAR winner as Marty Morrissey from RTE compered the evening ,but was more like a friend to us all. Brian Colgan was chosen as Club Person of the Year, with Billy Reyburn as our Hall of Fame recipient. Without these men, Syls would not be the club it is today !  Over 250 players, managers, members & friends of Syls were in attendance , we all re-lived great sporting moments as recalled by winners of awards when asked their best memories on the field..and the whole room felt the pride shared by players, winners & members alike, at the fantastic year we have all shared on and off the pitch! When the players run on the field for training or a game, they know now by the numbers that have celebrated their success that the whole club is running out on the field with them!

We all celebrated , laughed and danced into the small hours of Sunday morning...no one wanted to go home . The night was a huge success!
