Team of the Week - another big win for Syls

We are finally getting our act together in Malahide GAA, no doubt about that. Last evening our Debt Finance Committee announced that the Trustees have received a donation of €500,000 towards reducing the club debt. The donation is conditional on the club matching the amount and the committee outlined actions being taken to meet that condition.

This great news is on top of of other major achievements over the last year

  1. Final purchase of our lands at Broomfield
  2. Management of our Church Road facility by the Gibney family
  3. Accumulation of development funds for playing facilities at Broomfield from fund raising, donations and lotto.
  4. Promised access to the new Fingal CoCo all weather pitch at Broomfield

On Thursday night there were five different committee meetings in progress in the clubhouse addressing playing, social and finance issues. A lot of people are working hard to provide games and facilities for the people of Malahide in the best tradition of the GAA.  Anyone in the area who wants to participate in any aspect of the club is heartily encouraged to come and join us.

Many thanks to our generous donor and to all at Syls who make it all worthwhile. Here's to the next phase.
