At 7am on Saturday morning 30+ boys, coaches and parents, travelled to Carryduff GAC, Co Down, to play in a U8 Tournament. A great day was had, everyone got a medal and the boys got to play up 5 different teams from across Northern Ireland. Teams included, Lavey, St Galls, Maghera, Clan Na Gael, Burren,Moy, Clann Eireann, Magherafelt, St Johns, Kilcoo, to name a few.

Syls mentors William Rooney & Eamonn Burke, presented Carryduff's Kevin

Blaney with a commissioned hurl , in Syls and Carryduff colours as a mark

of appreciation for the invite to their tournament and their kind

hospitality.  Avoca would have struggled to keep up the quality and

quantity of cakes and sandwiches on offer to all the guests.

A warm invitation was extended to CarryDuff from Eamonn and William on

behalf of Syls, so their Yellow & Purple jerseys maybe seen in Malahide in

September for a return visit.

On behalf of  the parents, a big thank you to Eamonn & William for a well

organised and  fun day out, they boys have  set a high standard for future

end of year trips.
