AFL 10 Squad, Keep on Trucking....
Our AFL 10 continue their campaign and have yet to be beaten. The squad had a good win away to Whitehall last night. Paul Molloy is delighted with the progress of the team and proud that all the squad members are getting game time during the campaign, which was a key objective for the team for 2017. The squad play at home on Sunday at 3pm in Broomfield against neighbors Trinity Gaels.
Inters retain AFL3 status
AFL3 Relegation Playoff St Sylvesters 1-08 St Finnians Swords 0-07 Smashing win in a hard fought game keeps us in AFL3 and ensures we have our second team playoing at a very high lkevel next year. Congratulation to Ciaran and Derek Roche and all the panel, great achievement after a very mixed season.
Inters well beaten by Crokes
AFL3 St Sylvesters 1-08 Kilmacud Crokes 1-20 We finished even at half time at 1-06 each but Crokes took over with the wind behind them in the second half. Dave Galvin got a game in which was encouraging.
Inters win six from seven
AFL3 Fingallians 0-09 St Sylvesters 1-09 After losing our first six games of the year we have now won six of our last seven, the latest a hard fought win over local rivals Fingallians in Swords. Luke Troy had a run in goal and I'm told Colm Byrne had a real stormer in th emiddle.
Syl's girls in scoring form as Dublin Ladies outclass Monaghan
Sinead Aherne (0-7, 2 frees), Nicole Owens (1-2) and Niamh McEvoy (1-0) contributed handsomely to this one sided affair that ended Dublin 5-18, Monaghan 0-6. Dublin played a fast paced running /passing game and quickly established their superiority with Nicole finishing off a slick passing movement to score the first point.
