A very even contest throughout, we probably made it difficut for ourselves with some
wayward shooting.(12 wides).
Sean Foley playing full forward for a change..! got vital scores at vital times. His
goal approaching HT gave us some breathing room and a late well taken point eased
nerves towards the end. Score of the game award goes to Padriac Kennedy, a super
point on the run from wing back. Barry Crosse scored 3 from play (another converted
back) and in the absence of Martin Ormond, David Casey found his range and converted
6 frees. Great to see Paul Christie back in action and hurling well. Philly Ryan
picked up hand injury, so wishing him a speedy recovery.

JHC-E: Rnd #1 Syls 1-10  Scoill Ui Chonaill 0-11,  14:00 Broomfield Sun 8th April 2018

A battling performance by Syls against a tough no compromising Scoill team. Again
some wayward shooting had us under pressure but 2 class points, one each from Johnny
Conway and Decky Markey sealed the 2 point victory and thus completed the hat-trick
of wins for Syls in this Championship weekend.
