500+ players at Mini-Al-Ireland Finals
On Sunday 21st May, we hosted the St. Sylvesters Mini All Ireland. This has become and will always be a major date in our clubs calendar. The preceding 2 weeks of league matches saw 500+ boys and girls participate in very competitive and fun games across age groups U7 to U11. We were blessed with great weather for the league matches and this continued into the Mini All Ireland Final day.
Free-for-all on hurling wall
Pat Hoyne, Chairman of the Juvenile Section of the Club, is organising a free-for-all hurling session on the ball wall for anyone who would like to come along – all ages, all teams - starting this Saturday evening from 5pm to 6pm (before the Senior Hurling match on Pitch 1). If there appears to be an appetite for it, then he would be proposing to keep doing it every Friday evening going forward (probably from 6.15pm to 7.15pm, to be confirmed). It will be a casual, informal, free style, type session, with a few mini skills competitions for different groups. So if you are at loose end this Saturday evening, or Fridays going forward it might be worth checking out!
