U14F D1 Ballyboden St Endas 0-10, St Sylvesters 3-05 Hard fought game in difficult weather conditions but great to start the season with a big scalp. The U13s also played Boden (we had a bit of a pig out of Division 1 Football with Ballyboden this weekend) - anyone send me the result.

U13 footballers win again
Under 13's division 1 game against St Jude's in Bridgefield this afternoon proved to be a one sided affair as Syls beat them 7-7 to 2-6. A fantastic display of footballing skills and team play proved to be the winner. There was great cheering and support from a rain drenched sideline. Keep up the great work lads. U13Bs great win over Na Fianna
U13B Syls V Na Fianna The U13B Footballers got their Div7 League campaign off to an impressive start with an 8-9 to 1-5 victory against Na Fianna in Bridgefield on Saturday afternoon. On a perfect day for football Syls played with the wind in the first half and took command early with some well taken goals and the stand out score being a wonderfully taken point by Joseph MacLochlainn (2-2). Syls went into the break 4-5 to 0-3 up.
U12s win Donabate Tournament
The under 12's had a tremendous win in St Pat's Donabate tournament today. Well done to all the lads for an outstanding year, remaining in division 1, winners in Ardra and winners in Donabate. Looking forward to next season.
St Sylvesters Hurling Camp July 2015
We had another great week of hurling in Broomfield with sixty five young energetic St Sylvesters hurlers taking part. Two Dublin hurlers Chris Crummy (Lucan Sarsfield) and Darragh O’Connell (Cuala) demonstrated the skills and tactics of the game. They were both very impressed with the skill level of our players and also with their willingness to listen and learn.

Scoil an Duinnínigh back on the hurling fields
Last Thursday, Scoil an Duinnínigh fielded it's first hurling team after a long absence, some suggested a 20 years gap since the last hurling team. 21 players togged out, with many boys and their families experiencing a hurling game for the first time.
U12s going well - graded to Div 1
All three U12 football teams won on Saturday, the A team beating Lucan and qualifying for Division 1. This gives us a team in top flight u16, u14 and u12 which should stand us ingood stead. Well done to all.
U12 win over cuala
u12 grading. A comprehensive win on the second field in Bridgefield for a pretty strong looking Syls outfit. A got a few nice shots of our keeper.

A Sean Downey penalty save set us up for 6-03 to 0-04 win. Jed Twomey and Peter Byrne with 2 goals each, Harry Smith hit 1-1 and Niall McCarthy 1-0 while James Cotter and Ross Keogh chipped in withpoints. Well done lads.

U11 hurlers win at Maurs
"Congratulations to our under 11 hurlers who had a magnificent win in the B final of the Seamus Carton Hurling Tournament at St. Maurs last Saturday. It was a fantastic display by the lads who had 2 points to spare over Kiltale of Co. Meath in the final. Well done to all involved."
U8s at Carryduff in Co Down
At 7am on Saturday morning 30+ boys, coaches and parents, travelled to Carryduff GAC, Co Down, to play in a U8 Tournament. A great day was had, everyone got a medal and the boys got to play up 5 different teams from across Northern Ireland. Teams included, Lavey, St Galls, Maghera, Clan Na Gael, Burren,Moy, Clann Eireann, Magherafelt, St Johns, Kilcoo, to name a few.

Mini All Irelands 2011
Yes it's that time of year again, the now famous Malahide Mini All Irelands for 5 to 11 year old boys and girls. All children are welcome so get the word out, it's a great event for the children, adults and grandparents and the Finals Day is definitely not to be missed.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire for Derek Roche
The U8s looked like they had been at it for years when they faced an equally well prepared Nmh Marnog at Portmarnock early Saturday morning.Conditions were pretty wet but the boys were not fazed. A highlight for me was seeing retired senior footballer and Inter Manager of the past three years Derek Roche coaching one of our teams. I must get a proper writeup - the boys looked great.
