Minors Rally To Win Away to St Brigids
Our Minor hurlers had a hard fought game in MHL2 today but came through winning 0-12 to 1-7 away to St Brigids. Brigids lead all the way until 10 mins of normal time to go but the lads really ground it out and survived 10 mins of injury time to prevail by 2 points in the end. .
The win was all the better as the team had to bring in reinforcements in place of some who were away this weekend with the school. Players to be commended for a super game were Daragh McLoughney who scored 0-8 (6 frees) and drove the team forward throughout. Other notable performances from Kieran O’ Donnell who saved a penalty late on, Conor Hoyne, Matthew Brenner and an excellent half back line of Daire DeBurca, Sean Guiden, & Pearse Clyne.
