Gala Night - Message from Paddy Miskelly

The Gala Night held last week in the Grand Hotel was a great success both financially and as an occasion to make the incredible energy, passion and commitment that has the potential to drive our club forward enormously in the years ahead. For those who attended the event, we hope you enjoyed the occasion and are looking forward to the 2016 event already!

The Juvenile section had set a hugely ambitious target of raising €30k to pay for the completion of the unfinished part of the Ball Wall in Broomfield and this Gala Ball was to be the main contributor towards raising these funds.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of so many people (including those who could not attend) we managed to raise just over €28k. One incredibly generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, very kindly gifted €5k on the night.

Thanks to the contribution of so many this project will be completed in the next few weeks and will be an invaluable resource in the years ahead.

We need to radically improve our facilities at Broomfield and this is a significant step forward.

Many thanks again to Joe Duffy Motors as the main sponsor for this event and The Grand Hotel for their sponsor of the banqueting for the evening.

Our local business community in Malahide were also very generous in their support and we would ask you to help them by reciprocating that support.
