Minor A Hurlers finish on a high

Report attached from the Minor A hurling game played at the same time as the B hurlers were playing at Oldtown. I must say all the minor games I've seen this year in both football and hurling have been excellent and I'm looking forward to the championships starting in September.

Minor Hurling League : Craobh Chiaran 0 - 9 St Sylvesters 5 - 14

Syls minor hurling A team finished off their league season earlier this week with a comprehensive win away to Craobh Chiaran.
In what was simply a terrific display by a very much depleted Syls side against close rivals in this league . To say that this was one of our best displays in this league is a bit of an understatement . We fielded only 15 players on the night but each and every one of them were terrific .

In fact the entire campaign has gone very well for this side and they should surely be in good shape for the forthcoming minor hurling championship . An interesting fact is that this Syls hurling side have finished as highest scorers in their league . We have a couple of very good challenge games lined up over the next couple of weeks in preparation for the championship .
On another note both Donncha and I would like to thank Jimmy Deneher and John Crosse for looking after the team while we were away over the course of the last month or so . They did a great job . The GAA at its best !
