Scoil an Duinnínigh back on the hurling fields

Last Thursday, Scoil an Duinnínigh fielded it's first hurling team after a long absence, some suggested a 20 years gap since the last hurling team. 21 players togged out, with many boys and their families experiencing a hurling game for the first time.

The game was played in  perfect hurling conditions in Bridgefiel against Setanta feeder  Scoil an tSeachtar Laoch in the Fingal Cumann na mBunscol leagues.
The team is back boned by St Sylvesters players, with the man of the match award going to Pierce Donoghue of the Syls 2005 boys squad. Syls players lined out at number 8,9,6,11,14,10 for the school.
The team is coached and managed by teacher, Ciarán Fanning of Na Fianna. The school has demonstrated commitment to hurling by entering the team into
the leagues and invested in hurls and helmets.
The team play their 2nd game against Gaelscoil Mide in Naomh Barrog on Thursday 30th April at 3pm.
