Syls U14s in Regional Feile's - Hurling and Football

Great achievement for the U14 boys and their mentors, congratulations to all and hopefully we will have some support travel to support thme in the tournements. Just as a follow up to the recent Dublin Féile's in hurling & football, as you may be aware the GAA have amended the format of the national tournaments in recent years - really to try supress the win-at-all-costs approach that was manifesting itself - and while there remains a national Feile in both codes, it is the Dublin Division 3 champions who will represent Dublin this year in both codes in the main tournaments.

For the teams in higher divisions, there are Regional Féile tournaments on the same weekends which you can qualify for and which involve teams competing in 1 day tournaments against teams from other counties in a number of different venues around the country - 7 in hurling & 9 in football.
The performances of St. Sylvesters U14's in the recent Dublin Féile's in both hurling & football have seen us qualify in both codes to participate in the Regional Feile tournaments. Thus our U14 hurlers will travel to Offaly on 20th June next to compete in one, with the U14A footballers travelling down the road to Newbridge in Kildare to play the following weekend, 27th June.
We are really looking forward to both @ U14 level as it will be a brilliant experience for all the lads while they test their mettle against the best the country has to offer and obviously it's a first for the club to have both codes competing at this national level in the same year.
