Sylvester’s Under 9 Boys Cheer Dubs to Double Victory Over Cork in Croke Park

On Saturday evening last – 5th March – a group of over 80 children and parents from the Under 9 Boys gathered in the Lower Cusack Stand in Croke Park to support the Dublin hurlers and footballers. This group of supporters made an immediate impact as the Dubs recorded an easy victory over Dublin in the hurling and the footballers staged an almighty comeback in the second half to win by four points.

This group of young St. Sylvester’s players enjoyed their evening with their friends, parents and cheering on their county heroes. Not only was it the first visit to Croke Park for some of the boys but it was also the first visit to GAA HQ for some of the parents as well.

A great night was had by all although a few of the dads complained about the lack of heated seat.

The trip was organised by the Sports & Social Committee for the 2007 Boys led by Ciara Mollahan.
