U11 Hurlers, literally jump with joy!
The U11 hurlers who participated in the U11 Camaint tournament in Naomh
Barrog on Tuesday, could not hold their joy after wining their final game
after coming so close in earlier games.
Their final game was against the all conquering Ciarans squad, the Syls
boys gave a heroic performance to take a narrow lead and hold on, it under
severe Ciarans pressure.
Syls had a depleted squad and had to call on the support of the U10's hurlers, PJ, Harry & Matthew who answered the call. The three boys stood up and gave great performances against giants!
The biggest Syls smile of the evening belonged to Syls hurler Ben Grassic, who's Dad Peter played hurling himself with Ciarans!
Hat tip to Syls coach Dan and the supporters who provided great advise and support for the boys.
Dan deployed a blanket defense to protect the narrow lead and it worked.
Sometimes a blanket defense is nice to watch, this one was!
