U12 Girls concede late scores to fail against Trinity Gaels

St Sylvesters v Trinity Gaels 23 Apr 2016 St Sylvesters hosted Trinity Gaels in Broomfield on a lovely afternoon for football. The first half was a tightly fought contest with some excellent transferring of the ball between defence and attack. A slip up in defence allowed Trinity to goal and take the lead. Great pressure by the Sylvesters defence kept us within touching distance

The second half produced a surberb display by Sylvesters from which Sylvesters took the lead. Some poor shot selection allowed Trinity to remain in the game. In the dying minutes Sylvesters conceded a couple of late goals that lead to a second defeat in this campaign. The girls put up a great performance against a bigger and stronger Trinty Gaels team. The girls were disappointed with the loss and will be ready for the rematch later in May.

The panel on the day was L. Furlong, M. Ring, A. Brenner, K. Sheridan, H. Maguire, S. Hansen, C. NicCormaic, E. Brady, T. O’Keeffe, A. McCabe, K. Brophy, S. Curtis, S. Fogarty, S. Kealy and L. Murphy.

Training is on Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:30. Our next match is on Satutday 30th April v Westmanstown Gaels in Westmanstown @ 13:00
