U12 Girls Gutsy performance unable to stem Trinity Gaels

St Sylvesters v Trinity Gaels 20 Apr 2016 On a wet Friday evening the U12 girls travelled to Driminigh to take on Trinity Gaels. A sporting game ensued in improving conditions. The Sylvester girls dominated the first half with a superb defensive display providing the attack with plenty of possession. A larger and robust Trinity Gaels defense kept scoring chances to the minimum. In the final play of the half, Trinity Gaels took the lead.

On the large pitch, both defences gave a great exhibition of football leaving scoring chances difficult to get.  The goalkeepers on both sides pulled off some great saves. Sylvesters goalkeeper kept the girls in the match with a number of critical saves when goals looked certain. The difference in the last 10 minutes was Trinity Gaels took some glorious chances to run out winners in a keenly contested game.

The girls played their hearts out for the duration of the game. A special thank you to S. Hoyne and M. Roche who joined us from the U11 panel.

The panel was : A. Brenner, L. Murphy, K. Brophy, S. Fogarty, S. Kealy, B. Mulleney, M. Ring, C. McMahon, C. NicCormaic, M. Roche, S. Hoyne and M. Hazley

The U12 girls next match is V St Finbarrs on Monday 30th May @ 19:00 in Broomfield, Pitch 4
