U14 Footballers top Div2

The U14 boys football team completed their season of divisional matches with a magnificent win over Lucan last Saturday to finish top of Division 2. They now head into the playoffs having scored a phenomenal 375 points equivelent in 14 games.

It is impossible to single out any player for what can only be described as an outstanding overall team performance throughout the season. These guys started out training in early January with the aim of winning out this division and they are well on track to achieve promotion to Division 1.

The lads have quietly gone about their business training twice a week in the old rugby club throughout the year and have a marvellous team ethic under the watchful eye of Shay Byrne, Dave Peyton and Ciaran Meehan. attendance and of course listening and learning from the coaches has been key to their success. They now have two important games left in order to ensure promotion over the next few weeks.
