*U15 Footballers advance to Championship Semi-Final*
Half time score 1-5 to 1-1. The lads regrouped at half time and started the second half as they meant to go on. A Brian Murray pointed free followed by a goal from Liam Foley had the lads right back in it early in the half. Well taken frees from Brian Murray and David McCormack edged us into the lead and a goal from Stephen Lowe saw us leading by five mid way through the half. Vincents were not finished however and runs through the middle resulted in two goals in quick succession (one a converted penalty). This was a massive body blow to the lads and could easily have seen their heads go down. They responded in the best possible way however. Pointed frees from Brian Murray and David McCormack rallied the lads and points from play, the pick of which was a massive score from 50 metres from Harry Barnes and a late goal from Stephen Lowe saw us run out 5 point winners.
The effort displayed by all the the lads, particularly in the second half was phenomenal and demonstrates the team spirit and belief that they have developed throughout the season.
