Under 14s Go The Distance In Prep For Féile ‘19
Well done all the under 14 lads and ladies, their parents & coaches who pedalled the distance to Galway and back today and to everyone who generously donated with a few coins in their buckets! All the monies collected will go to kitting the teams for Féile 19 taking place next month (hurling) and in May (football) 💙💚
Dublin Minor Hurlers Clinch Win v Waterford at Broomfield
St Sylvester's GAA were delighted to host Dublin and Waterford's Minor Hurlers this afternoon at Micheál Gaffney Park, Broomfield for a challenge match which saw the Dubs win by a single point. The win came after the Dublin side sent a flurry of points over the bar in the second half to bring the game back on side. Final score: Waterford 2-14 to Dublin 0-21. Photos >>

2008 Girls Show Their Stripes In Celbridge
Challenging matches for the U11s in Celbridge this morning. Great determination and grit shown by our girls meant the overall scores were even by the end of play. We did our bit for share our stripes as part of the 20 / 20 initiative. Well done U11s! 💙💚👏

This morning's game at Broomfield for our senior hurlers saw 4 seasons in one match as they faced off with Raheny GAA in AHL2. RIP Hugh Curran
It is with immense sadness that St Sylvester’s offers sincere sympathy to Hugh Curran’s wife Geraldine and his children Eimear, Joanne, Paul & Eoin. Hugh taught a generation of young St Sylvester’s players while also teaching many of our young people at school in St Oliver Plunkett’s National School. Over 30 years Secretary of the Fingal Schools League, Hugh was dedicated to local GAA and his devotion to the school & his students was legendary. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Full arrangements >>

Disappointment for Minor Hurlers in MHL2
St Sylvester's new All Weather Pitch was much-needed this morning as the rain lashed down for our Minor hurlers Division 2 clash with Clontarf at Broomfield. Behind at half-time, our lads brought the game back on side with a goal shortly after the start of the second half but unfortunately couldn't prevent the Clontarf lads getting the upper-hand by a big difference in the end aided by conversion of more goals chances than we did. Final score; 1-09 to 3-09. Goal from Mick Shalloe, 5 pointed frees from Ciaran McLoughney, points from play by Daragh McLoughney (2), Sean Murphy & Ollie Twomey.

Syls Men Triumph in AFL2 & AFL4
Our senior & intermediate mens' teams both had great wins this morning away from home in their respective football league games. In Division 2, our lads ran away with the win at Collins Avenue beating Whitehall Colmcilles 0-3 to 3-17. Meanwhile in Swords, our 2nd team overcame St Finians 0-12 to 2-12. Great wins and 2 from 2 so far in the respective leagues is a great start for both.
