The Syls St Stephen’s Day Hurling Match tradition continued this year with our adult players at Broomfield. This year, in memory of much-missed Club hurling men Mel McIntyre & Declan Morris, a cup with their name went to the winning team. Syls Minor Hurlers Win 2nd place in Division 2 Hurling League
Our Minor hurlers lined out this morning for a spicy local derby with medals and bragging rights on the line in the 2nd Division second place playoff v Naomh Mearnóg. Well done to our lads winning a hotly contested match, leading all the way and winning 0-18 to 0-14 at fulltime. A good December for the Minors - congratulations to the team & their coaches!

Minor B Footballers Triumphant Winners of Minor E Championship - Retain Title

Minor Bs through to Championship Final
Great photos of last Sundays Minor E Champ Semifinal by Paul Rainey. Minor Bs won their E Championship Semi-Final with a final score of 4-8 to @CrumlinGAA 2-11. It was a heart-stopping game that went to extra time. A hard working, honest display from a very good team. Fighting back from 5 points down to go ahead, a late goal brought extra time. In ET there was only going to be one winner as we got 2 well worked goals. Well done on making it to the Final lads. The lads play the Final v Raheny on Sun 2nd December. Venue TBC.

Good luck on Saturday to our U16 footballers playing the D Shield Semifinal at Bridgefield (change of venue) and on Sunday, our 2nd Minor team playing Crumlin at Broomfield in their Championship SemiFinal.
