Ladies Inter Football Champions

LIFC Final St Sylvesters 1-15 Parnels 2-08 Congratulations to girls winning the Inter Championship at the first time of asking over a very game Parnells. This was a really fine display by our girls whose movement around the field was very impressive. Niamh Mc was awarded Man of the Match and it was the most deserved award I have seen, she was magnificent, driving her team forward, contributing three fine points and popping up on her own goal line defending. Gabby was taking notes beside me but I don't think she will be allowed play on the lads team.

Ladies reach Championship Final in a cracker

Ladies Inter Championship Semi Final - St Sylvesters 2-11 Kilmacud Crokes 2-10 A late penalty converted by Sinead Aherne secured a marvelous win for the girls to reach the Championship Final against Parnells. It was a smashing evening with a good home crowd and a great game served up by two excellent teams where the lead changed hands several times. A sporting Crokes will consider themselves unlucky to have lost but Syls probably shaded it in possession, especially in the second half, and fought hard to snatch the win. Brian will send a report.

14 Footballers win at Thos Davis

Our U14s Footballers had a good win away to Thomas Davis last night. The conditions were poor and it was difficult to play football but we grinded out a result. We needed to win this as although we had an excellent Feilie campaign we have struggled in the league mostly due to not having a full panel available on a regular basis, injuries, sickness, holidays etc…. Hopefully, the Feilie and now this result will act as a catalyst for better results after the Summer break. Ciaran

Girls qualify for Inter Semi Final

LIFC St Sylvesters 0-18 Ballinteer St Johns 0-08 Yet another second half blitz saw the girls notch up their third win in the Championshio and qualify for the semi finals. A one point lead at seven to six at half time was a fair reflection of a first half where Johns stayed with us almost point for point. The second half was a different story, Syls half back line closed the door, Lea Harold, Sinead Treacy and Anne Clarke sweeping forward at every opportunity, Macker taking a few great high catches and the combination of Nicole, Sinead and Katy Slattery hitting a string of excellent points.
