A new schedule is out ahead of this weekend’s hurling matches. Our senior hurlers are hoping to repeat their great performance last time out as they take on Naomh Barróg this Sunday in the penultimate game of the Division 2 league. Our 2nd team will play on Sunday now also. Time moved to 12 noon. Both games are crucial matches for the teams as the end of league season approaches. Good luck to them!

St Sylvester‘s GAA Club offer our deepest condolences to Leonard O'Carroll on the sudden death of his beloved wife Fidelma. Funeral arrangements: Reposing at her residence, 11 Seabury Park, Malahide (K36 X084), on Monday afternoon (15th July 2019) from 4pm until 8pm, also on Tuesday afternoon (16th July) from 4pm until 8pm. On Wednesday morning (17th July) with house private, removal to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide (K36 HC99), to arrive at 11.30am for Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Moynalty Cemetery, Kells, Co. St Sylvester's is hugely appreciative of the kind sponsorship of our summer hurling camp by Leahy O'Riordan Chartered Accountants. Eamonn Leahy, Director has supported the club camps now for over 15 years which is a massive contribution to the development of hurling at St Sylvester's. Eamonn himself was at Broomfield today to distribute over 100 sports jerseys to the children participating in the camp this week. Dublin captain Chris Crummey and Dublin defender Eoghan O'Donnell are both leading the skills camp this week, ably supported by a team of St Sylvester's talented older hurlers. Our hurlers are back to Championship matches this week starting on Tuesday with our Junior As away to Judes at Tymon. They’ll appreciate support from any who can travel. Our Junior A footballers have their rescheduled match at home meanwhile. Our Senior hurlers play a very important match v Peregrines in the Intermediate Championship on Wednesday at home. Syl’s U10 Boys Represent Malahide To Win Leinster Community Games Title!

First our U10 boys became Dublin Champions with Malahide Community Games and now the boys are Leinster Community Games Champs! In a tournament this weekend in Carlow, the lads overcame Keenagh of Longford in the semi and then went on to win a thrilling game vs St Brigids of Newbridge by 2 points! What a fantastic achievement for the boys & their coaches Cormac McNamara, Seamus Ruddy, David Noonan & Seamas Early! In St Sylvester’s tradition, the team will parade the cup over bridge and onto the Clubhouse at 5pm this evening, Sunday. Come and congratulate them! 💪🏻💙💚🏆
