Effective the 25 May 2018, the European Union is introducing a new regulation - the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR. GDPR gives people greater access to their personal information and control of how it is used.
In line with these new privacy rights, St Sylvesters GAA Club is updating its Privacy Policy to make it easier for you to understand your choices and the control you have over your personal data.
What are the key changes for you?
GDPR sets out the following rights:
· The right to access the personal information an organisation holds on you
· The right to have your personal information sent directly to yourself or another organisation
· The right to have inaccuracies corrected
· The right to object, including in relation to direct marketing
· The right to restrict the processing of information
· The right to have information erased
These rights come into effect on 25th May 2018.
There is no change to how you participate in club activities, and no need for you to do anything differently as a result of this new legislation.
