St Sylvesters Hurling Camp July 2015

We had another great week of hurling in Broomfield with sixty five young energetic St Sylvesters hurlers taking part. Two Dublin hurlers Chris Crummy (Lucan Sarsfield) and Darragh O’Connell (Cuala) demonstrated the skills and tactics of the game. They were both very impressed with the skill level of our players and also with their willingness to listen and learn.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire for Derek Roche

The U8s looked like they had been at it for years when they faced an equally well prepared Nmh Marnog at Portmarnock early Saturday morning.Conditions were pretty wet but the boys were not fazed. A highlight for me was seeing retired senior footballer and Inter Manager of the past three years Derek Roche coaching one of our teams. I must get a proper writeup - the boys looked great.
