Girls stay alive in Senior Championship
Following last weeks 2pt defeat to Ballyboden, Syls girls travelled to Clann Na Gael for their 2nd senior championship game. After playing against a strong wind in the first half the girls trailed by 4 points at the break.
In a strong physical encounter, both sides gave little away! Katie Slattery scored a cracker to get the girls back into the game and despite down to 14 player due to a sin bin we kicked some cracking points to lead by 3 in the closing stages.
However we conceded a late goal to end the game in a draw!
Last of group games is at home to St Brigids in Broomfield next Wednesday and victory is a must to keep our senior championship dreams alive!
