Coaching Advisory Group -Workshop Monday June 20th

As recently announced on the Website, the Club has formed a Coaching Advisory Group to develop and implement a plan to improve & enhance coaching in St. Sylvesters. The Group is comprised of :

 

Michael Kennedy- Director of DCU's GAA Academy

Peter Clarke- Manager of Monaghan & formerly Dublin Ladies InterCounty Teams

Sean Curley-  Experienced coach to Intercounty Players

Brian Talty- Head of Adult Football

Liam Foley- Head of Adult Hurling

Panner Mc Carthy - Club Coach

Continuing on from the successful Defensive Coaching Workshop given by Donie  Buckley the Group have organised another Workshop on Monday June 20th.

It will focus on 1) Dynamic warm up 2) Defensive Skills 3) Forward play 4) Small sided games incorporating the elements coached during the session.

They intend having some highly experienced external coaches to run this workshop and we would encourage all mentors from the Juvenile Section to attend.

The U16 Football Squad are the selected team for this session.

Exact time & location will  be sent out closer to the date.

The Group were very impressed with the number of coaches who turned out for Donie Buckley's session and we would like to keep up the momentum with an equally large turnout.
