Death of 'Grandad Liam' O'Brien RIP

The Players, mentors and families of all involved in the U14 teams wish to express their condolences to Helen, Conor and the O’Brien family on the passing of Liam. ‘Granddad Liam’, as he was known to all the players, had been a constant fixture at our matches and training sessions since we started out in the Nursery up until his recent illness. He was a quiet, supportive presence on the sideline, always available to give lifts (and stop in McDonalds on the way back), always encouraging and saying well done. He took huge pride is seeing the lads grow and mature, he celebrated wins and losses with dignity and a team photo took pride of place in his living room. He will be greatly missed by all. Ernie
