Syls Senior Hurlers Ready For Championship Challenge
This weekend the focus switches to the Championship for our senior hurlers when they take on Erin’s Isle in Finglas at 18:00 on Saturday.
This is the first match in a round robin group that consists of Parnells, St Peregrines, Crokes, Nh Mearnog and Isles.
The top four teams go through to Quarter Finals and with three home matches the players and management are confident of achieving this objective.
Bernard Boran of Syls coaching team says ‘Arguably Group 2 could be the “easier” of the groups but there’s no sense of complacency within the team as we prepare for what will be a titanic battle if previous games between these two teams is anything to judge by.’
The team has being training hard since January, so hopefully all the good work will come to fruition on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, our Junior teams both play at home on Sunday in the Junior Champs. Both teams have won one from three in their league matches so far so will be pulling out all the stops for a win this weekend.
All teams are asking for support away & at home. 💙💚
