11 August 2013 St Sylvester’s GAA club notes

The Dublin hurlers made us proud with a fantastic performance in today’s All Ireland semi-final. In what was a great game of hurling we came out on the wrong side of the result against a very good Cork team. Dublin will face Cork one more time this year in the ladies football All Ireland quarter finals on August 24tt

The Dublin ladies under16 football team had a very handsome win over Cavan in the All Ireland semi-final. Our own Lucia Hughes scored a goal. The final could be fixed for August 24th as a double header with the senior quarter final.

Our own senior football team are back in action in the league next Saturday at 18.15 against Ballymun Kickhams. This will be a cracker. Don’t miss it. They are also out on Wednesday away to St Maur’s at 19.15.

The intermediate football team play league at home to Clann Na Gael also on Saturday at 18.15.

The junior A football team play Civil Service in the league in Broomfield on Sunday at 18.15. Both teams are on fourteen points so there is a lot at stake in this one.

The Golf Classic takes place on September 5th. Please keep the date and contact Ronnie Declan or Brendan on info@stsylvesters.ie to book you place.
