16Bs lose to Clontarf
U16 Div7 Top4 SF St Sylvesters 3-06 Clontarf 5-06 A good game, the lead changing all the time on a nice afternoon in Bridgefield. We gave up a few softish goals late in the first half, recovered after the break but missed a penalty and four or five scorable opportunities when we should have moved ahead. Clontarf finished strongly with four points on the trot, we got one back but gave up a goal just on the whistle.
These lads have been an excellent B team for eight years and great credit is due to Padraig Quinn and Shay Byrne for the way they maintained their competitiveness over the years. Ciaran Creamer who coached up to two years ago congratulate the boys after their last game in juvenile football.
