Bridgefield Campaign Update.

As most people are aware December 18th was the closing date for submissions by the public on Fingal County Councils proposals for Bridgefield. We can now tell everybody that the total number received was 1238 with the overwhelming majority of these statin their opposition to the proposals. Of this total 1012 came from the petition day in the village and also from the letters that were collected in the club
The remainder were sent in by members of the public as well as other intrested parties. We have been informed that anything up to 50 submissions is considered to be a high number in matters like this so 1238 submissions represents a phenomenal response by the public and we would like to thank all the club members who helped to get such a large number of submissions sent in.
We now move on the the next phase in this process which is to wait on the county managers report which will come out in mid January. The recomendations in this report will form the basis of any decision to send the proposals forward to a full council vote and we will let all our members know the exactly what is said in the report as soon as we know. I will post a further update on the club website in the coming weeks.
