Club notes May 4th

The senior team suffered a one point championship defeat to a very good Ballymun team and now join Crokes in the draw for the next round. That draw will be interesting to say the least. The intermediates had a one point victory over Isles. Micháel, who serves a nice pint in the bar, was ice cool when he served up a brilliant winning point. The juniors had a bit more to spare, winning against Liffey Gaels by 9 points with a great team performance.

No overall victory but dignity in defeat for all our Féile teams. The girls had three brilliant wins on Saturday before going out to Crokes in the semis. Boden accounted for our boys A team by 4 points and went on to overall victory. The boys B team came up against some very good opposition in their division and didn't make it out of their group despite a very good showing against Ballyboden. Huge effort went into the preparation of all these teams and the preparation of Broomfield for the hosting of the girls group. Hurling Féile is on May 16th. The under 16 B team just failed by four
points to O'Tooles in the shield semi final. Well done to everyone especially the mentors of these teams who really are the heartbeat of the club.

It was hurling this weekend for the younger teams. The under 8 hurlers came second in their blitz and the under 9s lost by a point to Raheny. The under 12s footballers lost in the cup semi final against Whitehall.
