Colm Doyle RIP (U15 player Christian's dad)

It is with much regret that we have learned of the passing of Colm Doyle father of Christian Doyle of the under 15 football team. Well done to our U15s and Malahide Rugby U15s for forming a guard of honour at the church, nice gesture lads. Solas na bhFlaitheas ar a anam uasal.

It is with deep regret to advise that Colm Doyle passed away peacefully yesterday evening. Colm was a great supporter of Sylvesters. Colm's son Christian plays with the U15 football team and is also a member of the Dublin Development squad.

I don't recall Colm ever missing a GAA match that Christian was involved in from the Nursery right through all the age groups until his illness last June and he was an avid follower of Christians progress over the years. Even though he was undergoing treatment last year he still made it to a number of the matches. We all can recall great conversations over the years on the sideline on all matters from the economy to the Dubs. Himself and his Dad Dessie were a regular fixture in the Club for all the matches on the big screen. Colm was an avid swimmer and competed at the highest level with the likes of Gary O'Toole and still is the holder of Irish records set back in the 80's to this day.

Our thoughts are with his wife Tracy and  and all his family and friends at this time.

We have all lost at true friend
