Comfortable win in Senior League

AFL1 Fingallians 1-9 St Sylvesters 4-14. I don't know yet whether we can still qualify for the play-offs - will update. This was a pretty comfortable after the first 20 minutes when we were 1-5 to 0-5. A super goal setup by a driving run by David Galvin and finished by the a very sharp Aiden Relihan after about 10 minutes set the tone of the game.

Fingallians did score some excellent long range points but they couldn't keep with us when we moved the ball quickly. Along with Aiden and Darren Clarke's usual contribution, I think they got 10 points between them, we also had two goals from the resurgent Ronnie Carroll, we had an impressive senior debut fro Gary Sweeney whose swift running and quick delivery contributed to two of the goals, we had Eoin Fanning back to his best showing for everything coming out of defense and giving a great display of fielding. My man of the match was Cian Cleere in midfield who fielded well and seemed to cover every blade of grass. He was well supported by Ross who also played well on the Dubs Paul Flynn. Our defense, as usual, was pretty sound, only giving up the goal very late. Great to see Shane O'Connor return from a nasty injury earlier in the year. It would be great to qualify for the playoffs as we look like we are up for it - St Vincent de Paul semifinal to be played also.
