Wrap up of the Dublin juvenile football and hurling year, CCC1 and 2 combined. All competitions completed to schedule, almost 10,000 games, 5,500 players on CCC1 football (increased a little from 2010) and over 4,000 CCC1 hurling (10% increase), not a single major issue with dual status, reduction in disciplinary issues. Pride of place for Syls was our u12 div1 champions and good representation in most competitions. Very impressive organisation by the volunteer committee members and we all owe a big thanks to the Ciaran Hoban (retiring chairman), Alan O'Connor CCC2, Niall Connaughton CCC1, Damian, Kathleen and many many more . . . go raibh míle maith agaibh.

There was even some good debate on a number of issues.

  1. Elitism and development squads - consensus that they are for the development of strong county teams (rather that development of strong club players).
  2. Two team schedules for U11 at 11-a-side, the request twas that they should be kept to a single venue (two team graded) until U12. The proposal was well debated but defeated.
  3. A proposal to move U15 games to Friday evenings was also defeated.

I'll post the notes if I get them
