Costly draw for Inter Hurlers, Juniors win

AHL3 St Sylvesters 0-16 Naomh Olaf 1-13 Last free of the game was just 10 yards too far for Martin Ormande into a strong breeze and we ended up drawing a game we had led throughout. We probably did not make enough of our chances in the first half and a five point interval advantage was quickly recovered by Olafs straight on the restart. We led by three with about 10 minutes remaining but a couple of good long range points pulled Olafs back and we were left with one long range effort to try to win it.

It was a tough uncompromising game and we battled well but our shooting was just that little bit weak when we needed a couple of points. Nice to see Kevin O'Flynn at midfield looking comfortable (we never did congratulate Kevin on his Leinster Minor medal two weeks ago and we wish him well in the All Ireland) .

The draw may prove costly as we try tostay in contention for promotion to Senior Hurling status.

AHL7 St Sylvesters 3-14  Parnells 2-12  Played on Tuesday, the juniors had an excellent win over a lively Parnells team and  they stay in contention for promotion to Div5
