Des Barnes RIP - one of the greats.
Well done to the players and members who formed guards of honour for Des on Thursday. We had the Junior team from the '80s that Des managed, Brian's U14s at the clubhouse and Declan's U15s and Ladies at the Church. It was a sad day for the club but there was a great turnout of respect for Des and his family.
Note by Edie MooreWe are all very shocked and saddened to hear that Des passed away this morning and would like to extend our sympathies to Doris, Brian, Martin, Des, Declan and all their extended family. There is no doubt Des was one of the greats of Dublin and Malahide GAA and he will be sorely missed.
