Emily Rheinisch helps U16 girls come back from dead V O'Toole's

Emily Rheinisch played her first game for Syls U16 girls away to O'Toole's on Wednesday night 23rd March 2011.Emily comes from a family steeped in Dublin GAA particularly hurling with Craobh Chiaráin and Dublin. She has played against Syls every season since U10 with Scoil Uí Connaill. They do not have an U16 team this year and she has got permission from the County Board to guest with Syls U16 this year. She is a member of the Dublin U16 panel and has come to Malahide at a time when Syls are badly in need of a regular full forward.

Syls started very slow under lights at Pairc Uí Thuathail and were O'Toole's 1-4 to Syls 0-0 at half time. After a good talk at half time Syls brought in Emma Lynch who started things moving in the forward line. Syls got a goals from Emma Sullivan and then a quick goal and a point from Emma Lynch. O'Toole's kept up their attacks but Syls defenders held them to a couple of points. Gráine McGinty then scored two further goals and Emily Rheinisch added another point. Despite playing with an ankle injury Emily contributed to many of the other scores with her unselfish play. Final result O'Toole's 1-7 to Syls 4-2 a great turnover.
