All Feile na nGael venues are playable.

As of this afternoon , all Feile venues are playable. Therefore, the following applies regarding Final venue for each Division.  A “toss of the coin” between the Finalist will decide who has Home advantage for the Final. This Final  will take place at 11.30am on Sunday morning  ( normal time slot for U15s). If you can’t host the final , the venue moves to the opposition.

This procedure applies to all Divisional Finals. The “toss of the coin” will be conducted by Cathaoirleach CCC2  , Alan O’Connor  and County Youth Officer , Bernie Mac Laughlin , both of whom will be in O’Toole Park at the U16 Football Championship Finals on Saturday afternoon.

CCC2 hopes all venues will remain playable over night. Cathaoirleach CCC2  , Alan O’Connor, will decide at 8am Saturday morning whether Feile na nGael proceeds for Divisions 2, 3, 4 & 5. As all the venues in Divisions One and Six  are not under Council control , the fixtures in these venues will proceed.

NOTE:  If CCC2 decides  a Council venue will likely be declared unplayable for 10.45am Saturday morning, the whole Feile Division will be deferred. Example...take  Div.2 Host venues Russell Park & Tymon Park.. if CCC2 decides Council pitches unlikely to be playable at 10.45am, then Russell Park will not proceed in isolation to Tymon Park.

If a Division doesn’t proceed , all Eight teams in the Division will be redrawn to arrive at Four  Quarter Final games which will take place at 3.30pm on Saturday May 30th, the Semi Finals will take place at 11.30am Sunday May 31st with the Divisional Final on Wednesday June 3rd at 7.30pm.

If the latter scenario materialises , the draws for Q/Fs & S/F s will be conducted by Alan O’Connor & Cathaoirleach Bord na nÓg , Ciaran Hoban  on Saturday and forwarded to all clubs by Sunday morning May 24th at the latest.

Finally , if your U14 mentor doesn’t receive a text message by 8.30am Saturday morning, it’s all systems GO GO GO.... enjoy “Feile Festival”

In all matters over the weekend , please contact Alan O’Connor, 086-8312580, if you have any questions. I myself , will be involved with a Feile team.

Yours in Sport,

Damian
