Five goal Glen Cosgrave leads 16Bs to Shield Final
U16C C Shield SF St Sylvesters 7-06 St Pats (D) 4-07 Shay and Padraic were talking down our chances against a strong Pats from two divisions above us and having a good season. Glen Cosgrave had other ideas, however, and after going 1-02 down and looking like we were heading for a tough afternoon, scored five goals to see us into the final for the second year in a row.
Paul Ryan scored the first with a classy volley and we tacked on a point and another goal quickly to bring us right back into it. The game was pretty even from there eon except we got the goals while Conor Matthews had a couple of excellent saves to keep us in front.
