From Juvenile Secretary
Firstly, a big thank you to all of you who contributed to and helped get such a big turnout for the EGM last week.
The next big off-field event in the Sylvesters calander is the White Collar boxing -v- rugby club which, as most of you will be aware, is being held on Friday 21st September next in The Wright Venue.
Paul O'Toole has kindly stepped forward to represent the juvenile
section in the ring and we want to give him as much support as
possible on the night. To this end particularly we need to sell tickets
for the event which of course will raise funds for the club which is the
main point of the exercise.
So - in addition to what Paul himself has - I have been
given 100 x €30 tickets for the event. I will be contacting team
mentors directly so that we can disperse the tickets amongst us which
should make them easier to sell (in theory, if we divide it up between
us, we're looking at just 10 tickets or so per team). Of course, should
anyone want to buy ticket(s) directly, please do let me know.
On a separate note, but equally fundraising, we will be
doing the annual All-Ireland football final score prediction this year
again. Cards will be circulated shortly in this respect, and the kids
will be out in force around Malahide on Saturday 22nd September. I will
be in touch separately regarding this.
