Girls Section Update 21st Aug
The Dublin Senior Ladies and our own Sinead Aherne were unlucky to bow out of the championship by a 1 point defeat to Cork in a tight quarter final game on Saturday.
The Sylvester's Ladies team take on Kilmacud Crokes in the league on Wednesday in Pairc de Burca at 7pm. Their championship final is set for Wednesday, the 7th September, against St Maurs, with Fingallians GAA Club the likely venue.
The juvenile girls teams return to training this week to
prepare for their upcoming championship matches set for the weekend of the
10th/11th September. New players are welcome to come and join all
teams.
Kim White and Emer Treacy will line out for the Dublin
under 16 girls in the All Ireland Final next Saturday against Kerry. Throw in is
at 5pm in Nenagh.
Aimee Hazely & Sinead Tracey
representing Ireland at the Aussie Rules World Cup in Australia,
have won all of their first 3 matches in the competition. They beat the
USA, Canada and their Aussie hosts and are guaranteed a final place next
week.
