Good weekend for our footballers

AFL1 Syls 3-17 St Marys 2-09, AFL3 Syls 0-09 Ballyboden 0-07, AFL7 Ballyfermot 0-03 St Sylvesters 1-13, AFL9 Ballyboughil 0-08 St Sylvesters 0-07, MHL2 Syls 3-07 St Judes 2-22. The seniors returned to winning ways with an impressive display against Marys, Brian Sexton played a leaders role from centre back, Conor Daly, Russy and Darren ran amok up front and Jockser hit a point from nearly 60 yards just to remind us what he can do. On pitch2 the Inters had a tough encounter with a strong Ballyboden

Out in The Gaels the Junior As continued their outstanding season with a comfortable win over Ballyfermot.

The Junior Bs unfortunately lost narrowly again, this time by a single point to Ballyboughil  in a game the referee described as the best he has seen in along while. (I'm not sure how much football he sees but it was a tight honest game.) Unfortunately our wasteful shooting again let us down, hitting six wides on the trot in the second half and having a Derek Morris effort miraculously cleared off the line. Nice to see Kevin Fanning, Greg McInerney and Eoin O'Keefe back in the fold.
