Great win in Junior Football Championship
A tight battle until up to the last 10 minutes, then Syls took over and won convincingly in the end. This continues the good run for all our football teams at the moment.
JFC B Fingallians 1-5 St Sylvesters 1-11
It was level with 15 minutes remaining, 0-7 to 1-4 when Syls scored a goal. Fins came at us for a while but only scored a point from about 4 attacks - the Syls defense stood firm. We lifted the siege, added two points and took over from there.
Peter McGarrity commented that it is great to have young guys in the team - hopeful of going further in this competition.
