SHC B Nmh Olaf 2-09 St Sylvesters 2-14 Somewhat surprising easy victory over the top seeded team, we led from the 12th minute and won well to reach our first ever Senior Hurling Championship semi final. Martin Ormonde and Ciaran Falvey with two late goals gave us a cushion to withstand a disputed goal (through the top of the net we claimed anyway) against us and a late goal and a point by Olafs.

Defensively we were very solid all through, Paul Christie, Graham Morris and Garreth McGrath proving much too quick for their counterparts, Kevin McLoughney and the two Flahertys played tough in the half and Kev O'Flynn and Alan Morris made up a great mid-field partnership.

Conor Meaney, although his touch was a little rusty, was nonetheless very effective wining and carrying a lot of ball.  Barry Kiely and Diarmuid also won a lot of ball at half forward while the inside line of Martin Ormonde (1-07), Dave Casey and Mannix contributed most of the scores. Ciaran Falvey and Stephen Keogh came on in the second half.

We picked up a few injuries and hopefully we can recover for the semi final against Marnog, Parnells or
