Hurlers let it slip at Finglas
SHC B Erins Isles 1-17 St Sylvesters 1-14 We recovered very well from a very slow start but couldn't quite finish it off and Isles pulled away in the last quarter. Isles striking into the wind in the first half was excellent and they opened up a good lead into the wind before a few positional changes got us going and we got back to a one point deficit, 10 to 9 at the break.
Nigel hit a good goal and we dominated for a while but didn't take enough scores. Even going into the last quarter, Isles subs seemed to steady their game and they finished with a string of points.
We can still qualify but may need something from the Crokes game. Hopefully we have a few injuries recovered, we are close to holding our own at Senior B and it won't take much to get us established.
