The score in the Intermediate hurling match was Maynooth 0-11 Syls 0-9 It was very even all through the match with the team’s level on 7 points each at half time. Our defence was excellent and restricted Maynooth to very few scores from play. Ronan Kennedy and Graham Morris were really excellent all through the match. Andrew Richardson and Russi Cleere in midfield were at the heart of everything.

Maynooth were very reliant on their free taker and he was excellent.

They got the last two frees and that was the difference between the teams.

It might have gone the other way.

There were some great performances and no lack of commitment but it was one of those days.

We didn’t take our scoring chances and had too many wides.

We will console ourselves with a Dublin Championship and the prospect of senior championship hurling next year will keep us warm over the cold winter.
