Hurlers win over Trinity Gaels

The Intermediate hurlers got back on the winning trail with a less than comfrotable win over a game Trinity Gaels team on Saturday evening. We controlled the game from start to finish but never put the game away and had to battle towards the finish to hold on for a good win.

St Sylvesters 2-17 Trinity Gaels 2-13

Colm O'Connor had a big game scoring about 1-10 and looking like the training he is getting from the U16s is really standing to him, he hurled like a young lad. The defense was mostly solid, even after our new favourite Corkman, Dave Casey, went off after a heavy challenge (hopefully not too badlly hurt). The Flaherty's were excellent in the half line, as was Fergus Rooney and Mannix in the middle. David keogh and Andrew Richardson scored excellent point slate to consolidate the win, Ciaran Falvey had a good game in the corner, claiming our first goal and having a good old ding dong with his marker, a fine corner back. Nice crowd supporting the lads and suitably rewarded.
