Impressive minor win in C'ship

MFC Gr St Sylvesters 2-19 Templeogue Synge St 0-06 Big score in the end but this was a fine competitive game for 40 minutes before a goal gave us 1-10 to 0-06 lead and we never looked back. David Sexton put on a show of point scoring from all angles and was well assisted by Collie Byrne and an also deadly Mark Hazely.

Synge St opened a two point lead with the wind before we got going points from Byrne, Hazely and Sexton. Defensively we hung tough, Conor Ryan and Kevin O'Flynn  and Conor Mullarkey covering ground and winning the breaks, Conor Quinn looked very comfortable at full with Eoin Hamill and Kevin Danaher. We led 0-06 to 0-04 at the break after playing into a bit of a wind. Sexton and Hazely tacked on four points without reply and a when high ball into the square ended up in the net we never looked back. Eoin Byrne in goal made one particularly good save mid second half to thwart a Synger comeback. Jack and Scooby looked an impressive mid field.against strong opposition.

We have Vincents in two weeks and hopefully we will get the same big crowd supporting.
